The Professional Development Conferences for the SDCC Public Mental Health Academy aim to offer continuing education opportunities to students within the Mental Health Work Certificate program on topics such as employment advocacy, leveraging life experience, effective communication & adverse childhood experiences. For 5 years the event has hosted speakers such as Dr. Nick Yphantides, Nick Macchione, Dir. of Health and Human Services and local health advocate and former newscaster Carol LeBeau.
